I'm pretty sure I want to move to Roscoe Village when our lease ends on the Pirate Den next summer. The fact that I could walk to both Fizz and Galaxie plays no small part in my thinking. Same goes for the Bleeding Heart Bakery.

I did a lot of awesome blues dancing this weekend and my legs are still sore. Also Jenny and I went to The Bongo Room for their fall brunch offerings. Pumpkin pancakes are a very, very good thing.

Guys who live in Chicago: I need a tie, a black or gray vest, and black Converse sneakers for my Halloween costume. I'll repay you in baked goods of your choice if you can lend me any of the aforementioned items before Friday. : )

roscoe rules. you'd be spitting distance from one of the best craft beer stores in the city - i'd say it ties sam's, but with a slightly varied selection. you'd also be nearby victory's banner, kaze, a location of orange ([info]torridly's favorite restaurant in chicago), and a village discount. and walking distance to dinkel's and biking distance to ravenswood (merz apothecary! seriously!) and boystown.

i totally loved quasi-living there for a year, and i think you'd probably like it there too.

sounds like a pretty happenin' neighborhood.

are there any botanists in need of research techs within walking distance to Roscoe as well?

Yeah, I love that it's right in the middle of all the other areas I like and/or want to explore more. I looked it up on centerstage before posting this and am pretty well sold on the food in the area. Now if only I could just pick up my apartment and plop it down around Roscoe and Damen, I'd be set.
